(Gibson) With this year marking Lollapalooza's 20th anniversary, many fans were hoping for something extra special to celebrate the occasion. Festival founder and Jane's Addiction frontman Farrell delivered that this week, when he announced a collection of performers including Eminem, the Foos, Coldplay, Muse, A Perfect Circle and many more at the Chicago fest.If you ask Farrell, he has big expectations for Detroit MC Eminem's performance at the fest. "He's always put together great productions for his shows, and this is something that we look for at Lollapalooza – not just to go out there and perform, but to really give a show," Farrell told MTV News.
New at Lollapalooza 2011 will be a special area dedicated to the burgeoning dance music movement. "I'd say the biggest evolution, shall we say, in Grant Park this year is going to be the 'Perry's Area,'" Farrell said. "I kind of smile, because they have previously called it 'Perry's Lounge.' I don't know where they got this 'lounge' tag to it. It's the dance tent, and it will house 15,000 people. So 15,000 fist-pumping people in a lounge there to see people like Steve Angello and Joachim Garraud – that's a place you're going to want to hang out throughout the weekend." more on this story
