(Gibson) Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has spoken out to raise public awareness of Crohn's Disease, an incurable disease affecting the gastrointestinal tract.McCready, who is among 1.4 million Americans suffering from the disease, recently donated his time to create a public service announcement to promote the Take Steps Walk program.
The guitarist said in the announcement, "I have been living with Crohn's Disease for over 24 years. Luckily, my disease is now under control. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for many of the 1 million-plus Americans suffering from IBD. I know firsthand the tremendous impact CCFA's programs can have on improving Crohn's and colitis patients' lives.
