TV on the Radio Regain Sanity From Hiatus

(Gibson) Three years after their album Dear Science cracked the U.S. Top 20, the experimental Brooklyn alt-rock group, TV on the Radio, have returned with a new album, Nine Types of Light, and a renewed energy – thanks to an uncharacteristic hiatus."The strangest thing about the hiatus is that I actually didn't realize that it was an official thing," singer Tunde Adebimpe told ClashMusic.com. "But we definitely did need to take a break, at least from touring, for everyone's individual sanities." As for the layoff, Tunde doesn't think it will affect the group long-term: "I remember picking up two Breeders records that came out, and being shocked that the previous record had came out seven years beforehand. They didn't stop existing in my mind," he said. "Hopefully the interest is still there [for us] – and if it's not, there are other things to be done." more on this story
