Kennemore's Death Almost Ended Y&T

(Rock News Desk) Dave Meniketti says he considered splitting Y&T after the death of cancer victim Phil Kennemore last year – because he thought it would be "hypocritical" to continue.The frontman is now the last remaining classic-era member of the band. Although neither he nor bassist Kennemore were founding members, they'd both signed up within the first two years and appeared on the band's earliest releases. They split in 1991 but the pair restarted the project five years later. After eight months of consideration, Meniketti has confirmed stand-in Brad Lang as a permanent band member, and reports he made the call to continue based on his passed bandmate's wishes – and after assuring himself he wasn't falling into a familiar trap. more on this story
