A sculpted guitar made of concrete has been unveiled in Aberdeen, Washington, as a memorial to Kurt Cobain. The dedication of the sculpture was timed to coincide with the 17th anniversary of the Nirvana frontman's tragic death in Seattle in 1994. According to the Associated Press, a "diverse group of fans and Aberdeen residents," many born after Cobain's death, were present at the ceremony. The sculpture was placed in a park near the Young Street bridge where Cobain often spent time as a child. The bridge is mentioned in the Nirvana song, "Something in the Way." more on this story
