Chase & Status Plot US Invasion

Chase & Status have announced the US release of their UK hit sophomore album No More Idols (debuted at #2 in the UK selling 55,000 and coming in only second to Adele's 21) along with their first ever headlining tour of the US and a debut performance at this year's Coachella Festival. The trek will find the duo playing 1,000-1,500 capacity venues and if the past five years in the UK are any indication, Chase & Status could very well be the next big thing to break Stateside. No More Idols is the follow up to the band's impressive debut album More Than A Lot. The new album features an array of amazing guest artists including Plan B, Clare Maguire, Dizzee Rascal, White Lies and CeeLo Green (the only US artist to guest on the set as the duo went for a decidedly British flare on the album overall). Highly accomplished producers, remixers and DJs – Chase & Status (Saul Milton and Will Kennard) – really wanted to showcase what's happening in the UK today with No More Idols. It's been a successful endeavor to say the least. Chase & Status have been hailed as "The most exciting producers in the UK today" by Pharrell Williams of N*E*R*D fame and their credits as producers include Rihanna who has been quoted as calling the pair "the backbone" of her new record Rated R. As remixers they've added their flare to Jay Z's "Death Of Auto-Tune," The Prodigy's "Invaders Must Die," and White Lies "Death" among others. If producing and remixing weren't enough, originally playing out as DJs, Chase & Status have earned a reputation as a live act as well and completed two massive sold out live tours of the UK and Europe in just the last 12 months including a landmark sold out show at the London Roundhouse venue last month. They hit the festival circuit last summer where they performed at Brighton's "The Great Escape" alongside The Fiery Furnaces, Broken Social Scene, Ellie Goulding and Marina & the Diamonds, "Lovebox Weekender" with Dizzee Rascal and Hot Chip, "Global Gathering" with Faithless, Armin Van Buuren and Carl Cox, headlined the dance tent at "Glastonbury" and played The Prodigy's "Invaders Must Die Festival" at Milton Keynes Bowl (main stage). Now with an offer to play the illustrious Coachella Festival in Indio, CA, the duo is keen to make waves in the US with what Billboard calls their "kaleidoscope of sound" and what Spin called "A heavyhearted soul-barring rave-revival plea that takes U.K. warehouse-party nostalgia to vertiginous heights." The band added a slew of US headlining dates to their routing around Coachella and will be releasing No More Idols to coincide with the run. Confirmed US Dates: April 14th Hiro Ballroom (DJ Set) New York, NY 14th Fur (DJ Set) Washington, DC 15th DNA Lounge San Francisco, CA 16th House Of Blues Las Vegas, NV 17th Coachella Festival Indio, CA 19th Gossip Vancouver, CN 20th Roseland Portland, OR 21st Showbox Seattle, WA 23rd Music Box Los Angeles, CA 25th Knitting Factory Reno, NV 27th The Grand Salt Lake City, UT 28th Gothic Theatre Denver, CO 30th Nocturnal Festival Rockdale, TX
