(Gibson) One of the highlights of Sunday's all-star Japan benefit concert in London was Beady Eye's cover of The Beatles' "Across the Universe." The John Lennon-penned track concluded a well-received 11-song set by Liam Gallagher and company. Now, the group have announced that a studio version of the track will be released to further aid relief efforts for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. Beady Eye's website reports that the band spent eight hours in the studio the day before the show to lay down the track, which is available now for a limited time for download. All proceeds will go to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal. Check it out here
