Athfest 2011 Headliners Announced

The headliners for the Athfest 2011 have been announced. The event will be held in downtown Athens, GA, June 22nd through June 26th, 2011. This year approximately 150 bands and artists will perform on the 3 outdoor stages and in a dozen venues. This year's headlining artists on the outdoor stages include: Futurebirds, Centro-Matic, Guadalcanal Diary, Chickasaw Mudd Puppies, and Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit. All performances on the outdoor stages are open to all ages and are free of charge to the public.
The evening's "club crawl" takes place on the Friday and Saturday nights of the festival. Wristbands may be purchased for $15.00 in advance or for $20.00 at the festival. Venue age restrictions will apply.
Athfest is still accepting submissions from artists/bands interested in performing at the festival. The deadline is April 15, 2011. ATHFEST is also seeking volunteers and artists for the juried artisan market. Information may be found on the website www.athfest.com.
