De Staat is offering a free download of "Habibi", the first single from the forthcoming EP Here's De Staat.
Described as "admirably adventurous" (The Guardian on De Staat's performance at Glastonbury), "absolutely brilliant" and "beguiling" (Manchester Music), De Staat (The State) took Europe by surprise with the 2009 release of the highly acclaimed album Wait For Evolution. At once homage to old school rock and full embrace of modern electronic music, De Staat composes songs that are both unpredictable and infectious.
