Singer Terry Hall told BBC6, "We think going forward is a healthy thing to do. We've discussed things that will take us on a slightly different route. It will be different to what we've done, just because it has to be really, because we can't keep doing the same set."

The Specials were formed in 1977 and, two years later, hit the top of the U.K. charts with the single "Too Much Too Young." Combining '60s rude boy style and ska-punk beats, the band were a unique force to be reckoned with on the U.K. music scene. Within three years, they charted seven songs in the Top 10. In 1981, though, the group fell apart with three key members leaving to form Fun Boy Three.
