Max Weinberg will be taking his Max Weinberg Big Band on tour this October and early November.Bruce Springsteen's long-time E Street Band drummer and the leader for 17 years leads a swinging 15-piece big band that continues the traditions established by Max's musical heroes including Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Doc Severinsen, and Maynard Ferguson.
The band is comprised of a three-piece rhythm section — piano, bass and drums — and a horn section consisting of five saxophones, four trumpets and three trombones. Recent concerts this summer include performances at Count Basie Theater and the Newport Beach Summer Jazz Series.
