Lack of Money Forces The Boy Will Drown To Cancel Tour Dates

09/10/2010
.
The Boy Will Drown have been forced to cancel the first few shows of their upcoming European tour due to a lack of money.

The Boy Will Drown will no longer be playing the first shows on the opening UK leg and will now kick off the tour on September 30th at the Purple Turtle in London.

The Boy Will Drown drummer ED discusses the band's recent activities and the upcoming tour: "Unfortunately we've had to cancel the start of our tour due to lack of money. Our earnings were drastically cut and we couldn't afford to do it, what with the renting of a van etc. So our tour is kicking off with Wreck Of The Minotaur in London on September 30th!

"Liam has been, and still is, on holiday at the moment, so the rest of us have been practising at home and trying to get ourselves ready for our longest tour to date. I think we're all gonna be spending some of our earnings on new/more equipment. I know I'm looking forward to playing on NON-BROKEN cymbals!

"A week going up and down the country with The Bridal Procession should be ace, we're all really looking forward to playing with those guys and Heights. Galleons are on a few of the shows as well, and we've got some more tours lined up with them for next year already. I've been chatting to a few of them and they seem safe boys. Heavy drinkers and smokers by all accounts, so I suppose we'll have to be out partying every night... Oh it's a hard life ain't it, haha.

"After that, it's back over to Europe again which we always enjoy so much! We're spending three days in Italy so we're hoping to get some sight-seeing in too. Soak up the culture. I think we have one or two days rest after Europe and then it's back on the road with Eradication for a week. It's gonna be hard, but we always end up loving every minute of it... Apart from the van getting gased out with farts, haha!"
