Rolling Stones Talking Farewell Tour

There have been rumors of a Rolling Stones farewell tour for quite a while, but now a member goes on record confirming that there are talks about it within the band. Gibson reports: Speaking to Le Parisien, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts said, "We're discussing it at the moment. We said that if we do something, it will be next year or the year after."With Watts turning 70 next June and Mick and Keith joining him in the not-too-distant future, the group is hesitant to look too far ahead. "We've reached an age where you can't look too far into the future," he said. After the story was initially leaked that the Stones would embark on a farewell tour, there has been no word about specific dates. According to Watts, it's all in the hands of the Glimmer Twins: "We will resume playing whenever Mick and Keith get bored. At the moment, they're having a good time." - more on this story
