Here is the recap: Punk icons Social Distortion are about the last band you would expect to go unplugged but when a good cause arises the band answers the call.Social Distortion announced last Friday that they will be performing a two song acoustic set at the Animal Acres Gala 2010 on September 11, 2010. According to the band's statement, Animal Acres is a farmed animal sanctuary and compassionate living center just north of Los Angeles in Acton. Last year's Gala raised over $185,000.00 for farmed animal rescue and protection efforts. - more info here
