(Gibson) A Facebook campaign has been launched in an attempt to get a silent single to the prestigious U.K. Christmas #1 spot this year.More than 40,000 people have so far signed up for to the mission to get John Cage's silent track, "4'33"" to the top of the charts. The campaign states: "Let's repeat the success of Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name" Christmas number one with 4 minutes and 33 seconds of avant-garde silence." A grassroots campaign began last year to send the 1992 Rage single to the top of the U.K. charts, beating the new single from the X Factor (the British counterpart to American Idol). - more on this story
