(Gibson) Last weekend, The Dandy Warhols kicked off the American leg of the tour with a gig that was highly emotional and extremely fitting for a moment of retrospection. The group's founding members – guitarist/vocalist Courtney Taylor-Taylor, guitarist Peter Holmstrom, and bassist/keyboardist Zia McCabe – re-teamed with original drummer Eric Hedford for a one-time-only gig at the Satyricon club in Portland, where the band played some of their earliest gigs. The show was doubly poignant as it was part of a series of farewell shows for the club that many have described as Portland's answer to CBGB. - more on this story
