Matisyahu Taking His Festival of Light On The Road

10/19/2010
.
Matisyahu is taking his annual Hanukkah celebration, Festival of Light, on tour for the first time ever.

The series of shows, historically 8 shows in New York City and Brooklyn, will expand to additional northeast U.S. cities due to increasing demand from his fans.

Set to kick off on November 29 at Brooklyn, NY's Brooklyn Bowl, Matisyahu will perform four nights in Brooklyn - one show at the Brooklyn Bowl and three shows at Music Hall of Williamsburg - marking the fifth year in a row that he has brought his Festival of Light to hometown crowds.

He'll then head to Albany, Boston, Baltimore and Philadelphia before wrapping in Portland, ME on the last night of Hanukkah.

A very special re-mastered version of Matisyahu's debut record, Shake Off The Dust, will be released around these shows. In keeping with the tradition of Festival of Light, fans can expect a very diverse group of support acts and special guests to be a part of these shows. Known for never performing the same show twice, Matisyahu has created a custom-built live experience for his audiences during each of these eight performances. Backed by his band, Brooklyn's The Dub Trio, Matisyahu has rediscovered his love for roots reggae, beautifully exhibited in each song's vocal and instrumental arrangements. With prolific lyrics and genre-bending musical directions, Matisyahu is one of the most dynamic and captivating live performers in music today. Be sure to catch him live during his last shows of 2010
