Competitor's Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series Tour will make its debut stop in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 24. Along the scenic course of 13.1 miles, the excitement of rock 'n' roll music will be blended with fanfare to support and inspire the more than 15,000 runners and walkers.
During the world-class endurance event, Adam's Attic will rock the debut Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon.
The Rock 'n' Roll races began in San Diego in 1998. The Competitor Group organizes these running events in seventeen cities across the United States.
The Rock 'n' Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon is the newest addition to the popular series. Several local and national charitable organizations will benefit from the Los Angeles race.
It has been quite a year for the five-piece alternative rock band, Adam's Attic, originally hailing from New Orleans. On February 21, Adam's Attic became the first runner up in the KTLA Battle of the Bands competition with 955 votes only slightly short of the winning bands 959 votes. The band performed live on the KTLA Morning News show for a televised viewership of 3 million plus.
Since the KTLA competition, many performance opportunities have arisen for Adam's Attic like Universal City Walk, Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon, United Way's Walk United at Angel Stadium, almost selling out the House of Blues New Orleans, a second appearance on KTLA Morning News on June 18, and Los Angeles' Taste of the World.
On October 7, Hollywood Music in Media Awards nominated the California-based Adam's Attic in the Alternative category.
