(WBR) Melee's song "The Ballad Of You And I" has been selected as the free "Single Of The Week" on the iTunes Store this week. The band's new album, The Masquerade, will also be available exclusively on the iTunes Store.
The Masquerade, the band's second Warner Brothers Records album was released in Japan at the end of August to critical and commercial acclaim, debuting in the Top 10 at #7, with the first Japanese single "On The Movie Screen" peaking at #3.
The single "Built To Last" from their last album "Devils & Angels" was a #1 hit in Japan and a Top 10 smash across Europe and South East Asia. The band's next Japanese single and video is a cover of the Queen classic "Teo Torriatte" that has already been praised by Queen guitarist and songwriter Brian May who exclaimed "Wow! It's great. Fabulous voice... I feel very flattered!"
Collaborators on The Masquerade, include Kara DioGuardi, Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, R.E.M.), Ari Levine (Cee-Lo Green, Travie McCoy, BOB, Flo Rida) and more.
