(Gibson) Rick Springfield, the General Hospital heartthrob, "Jessie's Girl" hitmaker and a very capable guitarist, has compiled all his video clips onto a DVD, Video Vault, released this week. In addition to 30 years of hits including "Jessie's Girl," "Love is Alright Tonight" and "Love Somebody," the set features more than 70 minutes of in-depth audio commentary from Springfield, as well as a collection of Springfield's favorite television appearances, (which his website says are 'low quality, but fun to see'). Springfield has been even more prolific than usual lately – his memoir, Late, Late at Night, will be released on October 12. "Many of the things I have had to face in my life are universal issues; my lifelong battle with depression, fear of failure, self doubt and my journey to overcome these," Springfield said on the book's website. "There have been ups and downs in my life, and reaching the milestone of my 60th birthday made me want to tell my story finally and honestly." - more on this story
