Korn have tapped Sydonia to support them on their forthcoming Australian shows, taking place on December 3rd, 4th and 5th. The band has also been added to three days of the famed Woodford Folk Festival, on December 30th and 31st 2010, and Jan 1st, 2011. The festival is expected to draw over 100,000 fans.
Producer/mixer Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Funeral For a Friend, Bullet for My Valentine, As I Lay Dying, etc.) recently came on board to mix the current single 'Ocean of Storms'.
The single will appear on the band's official world-wide debut album, along with more never-before-heard tracks (one of which was co-written by Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga) being completed now. The album is yet-to-be named and SYDONIA is presently looking for an album deal.
Sydonia independently recorded, produced and mixed their Australian debut album Given To Destroyers in just two weeks. While the band was touring nationally in their home country, they received a personal invite to tour Australia with Lamb Of God after vocalist Randy Blythe heard Sydonia's Given to Destroyers playing in an Australian record store. Sydonia was also personally invited to tour the east coast of Australia with Stone Sour, only to then be invited to tour the United States with the band. In addition, the band has also received personal invites to tour Australia with SLIPKNOT and Machine Head. This year, Sydonia toured the east coast of Australia with Between The Buried And Me.
Sydonia's first single off of Given to Destroyers, entitled 'Sorry', received multiple screenings on Channel V and received airplay on Australia's well known Triple J Radio in addition to their new single 'Ocean of Storms' from their upcoming record. Another single from Given to Destroyers, 'Taste More', was featured on the "New Videos" segment on Channel V while the band toured Queensland with Dead Letter Circus.
