Tangents (Unearth/Seemless/Of the Hour) will play their first show ever on November 19 at the Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester, Ma. This show will feature material taken from Tangents' debut album "One Little Light Year which was released October 25th, via Restricted Release. Drummer Derek Kerswill spoke about his anticipation for TANGENTS' first live show: "After working on this record with just Dave and I for so long, its really amazing to finally play these songs with an actual band. An old friend of mine Keith Clark will be playing guitar and former Of The Hour/present The Empire Shall Fall bass player Nick Sollecito will be wrapping up the live line-up. Its going to be one awesome night, that's for sure" "We're all very psyched to debut all the new material from "One Little Light Year" in a live atmosphere, commented singer Dave Witham. The set is getting pretty tight, and we're just about ready to go. Nick Sollecito (The Empire Shall Fall) and Keith Clark, an old friend of Derek's are filling out the live band on bass and guitar respectively. It will be a very fun night TANGENTS is not what most will expect musically from drummer Derek Kerswill (Former-Unearth/Seemless) and Dave Witham (Of the Hour/Flat-12). Kerswill's musical diversity and rhythmic approach provides a solid foundation for the album, propelling the tracks forward with great intensity. Add to it the lush and organic sound of vocalist/guitarist Dave Witham and TANGENTS soars in the vein of Jeff Buckley, As Tall As Lions, even Radiohead. Witham's magnificent voice rises over a spiraling sonic backdrop with dazzling control and splendor. The album's ambitious songwriting creates the catchiest music either musician has released to date. Recorded and mixed at Stillwork Recording Studio in Holyoke, Massachusetts, One Little Light Year was produced by the band with producer/engineer Benjamin Jon (All That Remains, The Acacia Strain). The album is being released by Restricted Release in cooperation with Angle Side Side. "Recording this album was one of the greatest recording experiences of my life," says Kerswill. "
