Jeff Bridges Teams With Ryan Bingham For New Album

(Gibson) After playing hard-living country singer Bad Blake in Crazy Heart – and winning an Oscar and loads of acclaim for his work – actor Jeff Bridges is preparing to make a solo album. The as-yet-untitled record will pair him with singer-songwriter Ryan Bingham, who wrote a pair of songs for the movie, according to Spinner.com.T-Bone Burnett, who produced the music for Crazy Heart, is set to helm Bridges solo album as well. The record does not yet have a release date, but it's been confirmed that it will come out on EMI/Blue Note Records. But this doesn't mark the end of an acting career for Bridges, known to many as "The Dude" (or "El Duderino," if you're not into the whole brevity thing) from his appearance in The Big Lebowski. He's set to appear in Tron: Legacy, as well as star in The Coen Brothers' remake of True Grit, the 1969 John Wayne western. Both films are due in December. - more on this story
