(OlivePR) The Feeding the Soul Foundation is extending an invitation to join in and become united for a celebration of gratitude at their December 18th Benefit Concert at the beautiful 352-seat auditorium of the Neurosciences Institute in La Jolla. Titled Feeding the Soul Vol. 1: Family Dinner, the CD features 13 artists who each donated a song to the Foundation. The limited edition CD-and-Cookbooklet includes new songs by Bushwalla, Dawn Mitschele, Alex Woodard, Raining Jane, MC Flow, and more; 10 of the acts will perform at the benefit concert. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
The CD and cookbooklet that will be an insert to the CD were created to nourish the soul with generosity, love, and the perfect recipes to enjoy music and family with healthy gatherings based in gratitude. Both will be available for purchase at the event. A holiday craft fair will commence at 5pm with local vendors including food, drinks, and merchandise vendors (cash only).

"The Feeding the Soul Foundation has been the alchemy for healing me while I face one of the biggest challenges of my life – my mom was diagnosed with Lewy Body Disease just over a year ago and this rapid neurological disease has quickly taken over her body," said Vallie Gilley, the Executive Director of The Feeding the Soul Foundation and owner of Jitter's Coffee Pub in Oceanside. "I was touched when Cat Bramhall and Melissa Grove, my partners at Feeding the Soul, suggested we select this organization. There is little to no information about this disease and we are grateful to provide the Lewy Body Dementia Association with financial support, so they can help more patients and their families cope."
Lewy Body Dementia is a neurological disease – a fast-advancing, debilitating form of Parkinson's disease – little understood, and unresponsive to standard Parkinson's and Alzheimer's treatments. The Lewy Body Dementia Association is the only national association expanding awareness, promoting research and supporting patients and caregivers; we are proud to contribute to their efforts.
