(Gibson) Tom Jones was recently honored for his career-long contributions to British pop music with the prestigious Music Industry Trust award.More than 1,000 music and entertainment industry figures including Sir George Martin, Michael Ball and Helena Bonham Carter attended the charity dinner at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Welsh cohorts Cerys Matthews and Kelly Jones of Stereophonics performed and then joined Sir Tom for his performance at the evening's finale. The 70-year-old legend was presented with his award by film director Tim Burton. - more on this story
