Classic INXS Concert Comes To DVD

11/02/2010
.
(Kayos) Eagle Rock will unearth another rare concert from the Rockpalast vaults, when they release INXS: Mystify, on DVD today (November 2)

Filmed on June 21, 1997 at the Loreley Festival in Germany for their famed Rockpalast television series, this 105-minute DVD is a showcase of INXS in top form. The set list is packed to the brim with favorites (including all seven of their US Top-10 singles), like "What You Need," "Need You Tonight," and "New Sensation."

This concert also captures their iconic lead singer, Michael Hutchence, just before his untimely passing five months later. This DVD is a perfect snapshot of the frontman in action, capturing the crowd as they melt under his charismatic delivery and unfettered talent.

Additionally, Mystify reflects on an earlier stage in the band's career, when they first appeared on Rockpalast on May 8, 1984. These six tracks filmed at the Markethalle, Hamburg, are included as a bonus.

Formed in the late seventies in their native Australia, INXS earned a reputation as a phenomenal live band before truly exploding onto the scene as a recording act in the early eighties. Maintaining a steady stream of classic hit singles and best-selling albums throughout the eighties and nineties, they filled stadiums worldwide with their infectious, slinky, sexy brand of pop. They continue to record and tour with their new lead singer JD Fortune.
