(Blue Note) Amos Lee is hitting the road in support of his new album Mission Bell, which will be released January 25 on Blue Note Records. The tour will kick off at the Moore Theater in Seattle on January 20 and will include stops along the west coast, in the mountain states, and in the southwest, including a concert in Tucson, Arizona where Lee recorded Mission Bell at Wavelab Studio with producer Joey Burns of Calexico. Opening for Lee on the tour will be South African singer-songwriter Vusi Mahlasela.
Lee will also be touring for the remainder of 2010, including support dates for Dave Matthews Band (November 2-3). On December 3, Lee's WXPN "Free At Noon" performance at World Café in Philadelphia will also be webcast live by NPR Music. WFUV has announced Lee to headline their 6th Annual Holiday Cheer show on December 6 at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. He will also be the featured performer on Levon Helm's intimate Midnight Ramble concert series in Woodstock, New York, on December 4. See below for a full list of tour dates.
