Far's first new album in over a decade is now streaming in its entirety on MySpace. The band's fifth full-length studio album, At Night We Live (Vagrant) will be released next Tuesday, May 25. Originally from Sacramento, California, the quartet will kick off their first run of headline dates in their former hometown tonight at Venue. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
The band reunited at the end of 2008 for a few one-off shows to test the waters of a possible reunion. Shortly afterward, their just-for-fun cover of Ginuwine's "Pony" became a surprise hit at Modern Rock radio. . The excitement from fans responding to the news of the band making music together again planted the seeds for At Night We Live. Now residing throughout California, the band members traded ideas and demos for a few months before getting together at guitarist and producer Shaun Lopez's own studio in Los Angeles to record At Night We Live in 2009.
