Black Sunshine An Active Hit

.
Black Sunshine's new single, "Once In My Life", continues to build steam at Active Rock Radio, where the song has cracked the Top 40 this week, beating out new singles by Nickelback, Hole, Atreyu, and A Day To Remember. The band is currently on tour with Smile Empty Soul and Soil throughout the month of May. Black Sunshine is the brainchild of professional skier Matt Reardon, who turned to music after he tore the cartilage in his leg after attempting a double back flip. The injury put his skiing career on hold, and resulted in him undergoing 11 operations to repair the damage. During his recovery, Reardon would turn to music and formed Black Sunshine, along with the help of drummer Matt "Toast" Young, bassist Christopher Serafini and guitarist Jeff Flannery. Black Sunshine's self-titled debut album lands in stores on May 25th, 2010 though BreakSilence Recordings and was recorded by Grammy award winning producer Bob Marlette (Shinedown, Seether, Filter).
