Beyond The Labyrinth Release Third Song from Chapter III Project

.
For their 3rd album "Chapter III - Stories", Beyond The Labyrinth decided to approach it from a "Work In Progress" point of view, releasing new songs single by single through iTunes and as limited editions hard copies, only finalizing it the album after all the singles have been released. In this "Work In Progress" approach, BTL now releases a 3rd single "Ocean Apart", a powerful ballad written by singer Jo De Boeck and guitar player Geert Fieuw. The second song on the single, "Where Kindred Spirits Meet" is a mid tempo Hard Rock anthem.Previously released singles under this approach are "Saturation Point/Hypersensitive" (September 2009) and "Hidden Agenda/Stories Waiting To Be Told" (December 2009) Oceans Apart: Love works in mysterious ways, as does music. As they say, when one door opens, another window of opportunity opens. People who read the fine print on a cd (the so-called "the credits") already know that (BTL singer) Jo De Boeck co-wrote the music for "For Eternity" (featured on the 2008 Castles In The Sand" album) with (BTL guitar player, Keyboard player) Geert Fieuw, but when Jo came into the studio one evening, announcing "I wrote a song, but we need to work a bit on the music" he was being way too humble. After having heard the melody line and lyrics, Geert's jaw dropped - this was not just simply a song, this was the best BTL song he ever heard, even with hit potential ... "Oceans Apart", a love story, underwent quite some rearranging until the band settled on "let's make it a power ballad mix of AOR and Marillion approach". After all, hit ballads by Guns'n'Roses The Scorpions, Bon Jovi have proven the age-old adage : "It's the wildest rockers that write the best love songs"
