Starling Crush release the physical version of their debut album, "Tea Leaves, Murder and Dreaming" on Tuesday, March 22nd. 4AD veteran graphic artist Vaughan Oliver created the packaging for the release with his visual interpretation of the band's music. Brooklyn-based duo Starling Crush transcends their influences while crafting songs that combine the textures of the classic 4AD sound with the writing sensibilities of Alt-Country and Brit Rock. Comprised of singer / songwriter Jennifer Glass and guitarist / producer Michael Simone, the band's debut album, "Tea Leaves, Murder and Dreaming" will be released on March 22nd. With support from Chicago's 93.1FM, WXRT featuring the band on their Hear First program, residencies at NYC's esteemed venues The Living Room and Rockwood Music Hall, an XM radio broadcast on "From the Living Room to the Loft" with One eskimO, and support slots for artists ranging from Stars of Track and Field, Ben Kweller, Rhett Miller and Dave Matthews, Starling Crush is set on not following any of the current musical trends and are quickly becoming set to inspire their own. For Fans of: The Cocteau Twins, Ryan Adams, Snow Patrol, Bruce Springsteen, The Sundays, Neko Case, and U2 Vaughan Oliver is most noted for his work with graphic design studios 23 Envelope and v23. Both studios have maintained a close relationship with record label 4AD and have given distinct visual identities for releases by many bands, including: The Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, The Breeders, This Mortal Coil, Pixes and most recently TV on the Radio.
