Singled Out: AM Taxi's Fed Up

Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Adam Krier from AM Taxi tells us about "Fed Up" from their brand new album "We Don't Stand a Chance". We now turn it over to Adam for the story:I was on the road for a few years before I came home and started AM Taxi. "Fed Up" and most of the other songs on our new cd, 'We Don't Stand a Chance,' were written about the people I met and the things I saw out on the road. It seemed like everywhere I went, I met people that were trying to split town in hopes of something new or maybe just wishing for something more exciting. Most of them didn't even know what it was they wanted; they just knew they weren't happy standing still. When I got home, I started to feel the same way and I noticed my friends were too. The main character is based on a few people but I think it's mostly based on a girl I hung out with right after high school. She wasn't about to settle for staying around town and waiting to see what would happen. The music is influenced by "Born to Run" as well as 1980's American punk rock. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself and learn more about the album - right here!
