MTV have announced the third season premiere of "Silent Library." The new season kicks off Monday, June 28th at 5PM ET/PT, the 20-episode run kicks off with members of the New York Giants tackling some of the wildest challenges yet. It then continues with pop-punk band All Time Low going all-out for the big win. "Celeb Week" also welcomes Hey Monday on Wednesday, June 30th, and wraps up with the hip-hop duo The New Boyz and R&B star Iyaz appearing on Thursday, July 1st.
This season, more celebrities than ever will take a seat at the "Silent Library" table. In the show's second week, Nadya Suleman, aka the "Octomom" will make a special buzzworthy appearance on Tuesday, July 6th. Additional celebrity episodes throughout the season will include musical artists Honor Society, Aubrey O'Day, Stereo Skyline, Anarbor, Just Kait, and Never Shout Never, plus the cast of MTV's new scripted series "The Hard Times of RJ Berger."
On each episode of "Silent Library" a team of six contestants attempts a series of offbeat challenges that range from painful to downright gross. The show is set in a library, so the players must remain quiet. The contestants draw cards, and the player who gets the skull and crossbones must endure an unusual punishment, such as getting hit with raw eggs shot from a huge plastic chicken, having his nipples stretched to their limits by remote-controlled boats, or eating a dog sculpture made entirely out of dog food. If they do so quietly, the show's host, Zero Kazama, awards them a cash prize. But, if the team makes too much noise, they kiss the money goodbye.
