Here is the 411: This summer, RuPaul is pulling back the sequined curtain to provide a very special education to a few lucky biological women with "RuPaul's Drag U," premiering on Logo Monday, July 19 at 9/8c."RuPaul's Drag U" will take an incoming class of beauty-starved, confidence-drained women and teach them the essential elements of sexiness, sass and spunk that have long been the calling cards of every great drag queen. The students at "RuPaul's Drag U" arrive in groups of 3 each week, representing a different spectrum of today's modern woman such as: the blue-collar tomboy, full-figured gal or overworked mom -- to 70's TV Star. At orientation, the ladies are put through "The Dragulator" – a highly advanced piece of machinery that will reveal the ladies' full drag potential. Next, they are paired with a carefully selected drag faculty mentor who'll be responsible for helping the women achieve their drag dreams through an outrageous lesson plan that will challenge them inside and out. The heart-stopping drag transformations are unveiled at the culmination of each episode in a musical performance before an audience of family, friends and the judges' panel.
The judges assign each student a D.P.A. (Drag Point Average) based on their live performance and overall transformation. Only one woman will be declared the valedictorian of each class, but all students will "draguate" with a boost in confidence, self-respect, and a whole new take on the power of femininity.

Also lending a satin-gloved hand will be drag icon Lady Bunny as Dean of Drag, and Frank Gatson, the master choreographer behind Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video, as the school's Dean of Dance. As Headmaster, RuPaul will oversee each pupil's individual progress and impart some of the invaluable life advice that only the World's Most Famous Drag Queen can provide.
The season will also feature celebrity visiting professors Debi Mazar, Chaka Khan, Jackee Harry, Kelly Osbourne, Kris Jenner, Meredith Baxter, Mia Tyler and Taylor Dayne. TV icons Dawn Wells, Charlene Tilton, and Erin Murphy enroll as students in the season finale.
