Hot Hot Heat have released a new video for their single "21@12," off their new album Future Breeds, which hits stores this Tuesday June 8th on Dangerbird Records. The clip features a cast of eccentric, real life characters including a pro-wrestler and a neighborhood grandmother, who were found in Edmonton, Alberta – where it was shot. Watch it here
The band is also giving fans another taste of Future Breeds with "Goddess on the Prairie." The track is actually the first positive love song that Hot Hot Heat frontman Steve Bays has ever written. Click here to check out a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the song.
"21@12" and "Goddess on the Prairie" only hint at the eclectic nature of Future Breeds. The album marks a return to the indie spirit that first won Hot Hot Heat their legions of loyal fans. The guys not only built their own studio to record the album, but Bays engineered and produced it as well. Throughout the recording process, the band maintained their goal of combining party music with experimentation, resulting in an album that is both fun and idiosyncratic. With Future Breeds the band has kicked off a new chapter in their career and are excited that no one knows where they'll go next, not even themselves.
Catch the band live in LA every Wednesday during June at the Bootleg Theater or at one of their other appearances in California this month!
