Indie Artists Given Chance To Play With John Mayer

John Mayer has teamed up with OurStage for the "Side Stage Warfare" competition to give artists/bands in eight U.S. markets the chance to perform on side stages for Mayer's 2010 Battle Studies Summer Tour. Hopeful artists can submit tracks now to regional online competitions on John Mayer's Facebook and on www.ourstage.com/go/johnmayer and can promote themselves using embeddable "vote for me" widgets to invite their fans to support them. Not to be forgotten, fans who vote in the competition become eligible to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming "Battle Studies Tour" date in their area. Fans will vote and rank the entries from highest to lowest in each respective market. Winners will be selected by Mick Management from the top ranked artists in each of the regional "Side Stage Warfare" competitions toperform at one of the "Battle Studies" dates below. John Mayer has a history of championing emerging talent via his blog, on his tours and through his non-profit foundation, the Back to You Fund. By providing the opportunity for emerging artists to participate in the "Side Stage Warfare" competitions with OurStage, it is yet another example of his devotion to supporting new music.
