Jewel is streaming her new album, 'Sweet and Wild,' in an on-demand listening party on Pandora through June 7th. This original content promotion, features tracks from the record that will reach current and potential Jewel fans who have incorporated one of her songs or albums into their personalized radio stations. The program will also target like-minded fans who have indicated an affinity for songs that share Jewel's musical attributes.
"Pandora is the perfect place for us to pre-release Jewel's new album, 'Sweet and Wild.' The concept of an online listening party, where Jewel's fans – both old and new – can preview and pre-order her latest music, is an idea that we feel her fans will embrace," says Kelly Rich, VP Sales, Marketing and Interactive for The Valory Music Co.
Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren said, "We were excited to work with Jewel in creating a campaign tailored to 'Sweet and Wild' that would delight her current (and future) fans by giving them exclusive access a week before it becomes widely available. Listeners on Pandora are actively engaged, they interact with songs, stations, and advertisements an average of eight times an hour and they use our sharing tools that appear on top of every song tile and give them an opportunity to share their discovery of that song with an email, Twitter post, Facebook post or as a gift to a friend. We expect this unique program to see tremendous interest."
Pandora VP of Strategy and Planning Aimee Higgins said, "Artists are increasingly aware that Pandora is a compelling platform for messaging established fans and like-minded listeners. Our hyper-segmenting technology lets artists and advertisers select the most specific audience demographics, and our multi-platform reach – on computers, mobile phones, cars, and home electronics - allows a message to be seen and heard by a consumer anytime, anywhere. Pandora is more than a platform, we're a partner: we listen to what our artists and brands want; we create campaigns that leverage the highly engaged users on our platforms, and let them roll. The results with previous artists and brands have been fantastic - this is the wave of the future." Listen here
