Rock Radio has the inside story of why the failed Sepultura reunion never came to pass and how Max Cavalera feels about teaming up with Fred Durst early in the Limp Bizkit's career. Here is part of their report: Max Cavalera tried but failed to stage a classic lineup reunion of Sepultura – but he says he'll try again when the time is right after talks with guitarist Andreas Kisser stalled. He also says he regrets his collaboration with Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit, because the rap-rocker turned out to be a "jackass".
The frontman left Sepultura in 1996 amid internal tensions which have never been fully explained, but are believed to be connected with the band sacking his wife from her management role. "I thought the time for a reunion was good. Everybody's alive, everybody's here. So I decided to call Andreas to see if we could get it happening," Cavalera tells PyroMusic.net. "It didn't really go anywhere. He demanded a lot of unreal things, stuff that wasn't negotiable. So I just hung up the phone and said, 'I'll try again later, another time'." - Now find out about that jackass comment.
