Kina Grannis has announced her fall headlining tour of the US on the heels of a sold-out headlining US tour this Spring. In addition to her successful spring tour, she made her National TV debut with a live performance on CBS The Early Show on June 19th and was noted by both the New York Times and WNYC Soundcheck for being one of the top Asian-Americans (Kina is half-Japanese) making inroads in the pop music world thanks to her incredible following on YouTube where her channel has more than 189,000 subscribers and more than 43 million total views.
Kina Grannis is a talented multiethnic 24-year-old from Mission Viejo, California. At age 15 she found her love for the guitar and has been creating sweet melodic pop songs ever since. In 2007, after self-releasing three EPs in college, Grannis entered herself into the Doritos Crash The Super Bowl Contest with a music video for her song "Message >From Your Heart." She eventually won the contest and subsequently had her video air for the 97 million Super Bowl viewers.
She quickly built a fan base, now in the millions, and in February 2010 Grannis self-released her debut full-length album Stairwells. The album debuted on the Billboard 200, was #5 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums chart and #2 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart.
Grannis will launch her fall headlining tour of the US this September along with a second single – "In Your Arms" – a follow-up to the first single off her debut album – "Valentine" whose video has been viewed 2.5 million times on YouTube.
