Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Lana Mir has a big gig tomorrow at Arlene's Grocery in New York City, to celebrate the gig we asked her to tell us about her song "Summertime," which is on her forthcoming self-titled debut. We now turn it over to her for the story:Summertime is all about memories, endless summer and love. The song is about the best time of the year.It is about happiness and sadness. It is hard to say goodbye to your summer love, but it will always be another summer and you can always reach back to your memories. Summer used to be the most fun time of the year when I was living in Ukraine. I used to spent it on the Black Sea enjoying the sun, water and having biggest crushes and "loves of my life". The song is inspired by memories of summer and the longing to keep summer going forever. It is a time when you can throw your worries to the wind, forget your problems, and think about only love and music.
Now that you know the story behind the song, preview tracks from the forthcoming album, learn more about Lana Mir and grab the details for tomorrow night's show and more - right here!
