Idiot Pilot and The Ghost And The Grace's Daniel Anderson isn't just a rocker, he's a top ranked Tetris player. What does that mean? Read on: Daniel Anderson will compete in the Classic Tetris World Championship on August 8th in Los Angeles. Anderson will take time off from working on new material for both groups to compete against other top players from around the country in this first ever Classic Tetris event. He is currently ranked 5th in overall Points and 11th in Most Lines in Tetris for the original Nintendo Entertainment System according to Twin Galaxies. Twin Galaxies is the world authority on player rankings, gaming statistics and championship tournaments and supplier of video game scores to the Guinness world record books.
The tournament, organized by former Nintendo World Champion and Tetris epert Robin Mihara, will put together some of the best players from round the country up against each other in what is described on the event's site as a "good old fashioned face-to-face live tournament for the ages."
The competition will take place on August 8th at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles, California. Admission is $10 and includes one qualifying attempt for those who want to try their hand at the tournament.
