Mean Creek have announced a new 7-inch and summer tour plans. Here is the announcement: Old Flame Records is excited to announce the release of Mean Creek's two-song 7-inch titled The Comedian. Produced by the famed John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady, etc.), The Comedian is a raw and powerful display of the popular Boston, MA, epic rock band's repertoire. After releasing two full-length albums and touring the US and UK with numerous national and international artists, the band decided it was time to take some time off to work on new material this past winter, material that is now being showcased on The Comedian.
Featuring everything from hushed dynamics to hard-driving rhythms with singer/guitarist Chris Keene's vocals that resonate like a pleading holler keeping everything together, Mean Creek is a band that uses both current touchstones and their throwback tendencies to create music that is familiar yet fresh.
Mean Creek will be performing a few upcoming shows this summer in July and August. Additional information and Fall tour dates to be announced shortly.
