2010's first viral sensation on Urban and Rhythm radio formats is a hands-down runaway smash as "Homegurl" by east Texas rapper Bone graduates from club play to the airwaves with a 4 million M.Base audience, and impacts on February 9th! Bone is going "deep, deep, deep
churnin'
smackin'
like a hurricane hit it," with four booty-shakin' minutes of delirious PA-rated fun. Check out "Homegurl" on Bone's brand new website, http://www.myspace.com/heirbone, which has logged over 281,000 total plays in just its first few weeks online. The song goes up February 9th on iTunes. The single will be distributed on Def Jam/RedZone Records' partner, Citi U.S. Entertainment. 22-year old Bone (DeMarcus Hamilton), a native of Atlanta, Texas, was fresh out of high school when he was invited by producer JB to join his R2MG Records label (formerly known as Real Records). Bone, who lists his influences as UGK (fellow east Texas legends Under Ground Kingz) and Eminem, is currently in his senior year at Prairie View University outside of Houston, Class of 2010, majoring in history with a minor in sociology. Bone, who has been writing and recording music since age seven, acquired the nickname 'Hambone' from his sixth grade coach, on the basis of short stories shared between the two. At age 12, 'HB' won respect for his talents as a rapper on the local scene, after battling it out with a group of high school students at a basketball game. Four years later, he made his recording debut on a project entitled 'HB & Young Kazz.' In his senior year of high school, he came up with his own mixtape, The Come Up Vol.1, which sold hundreds of copies and set Bone on the inside track to a career in hip-hop.
