CSI Composer John M. Keane Releases Solo Album

01/28/2010
.
Composer for the hugely popular CBS drama CSI, John M. Keane, has released a new solo album Everything Changed on Laycut Records. The album is being distributed by BFM Digital, a leading digital music aggregator and distributor of independent music.

As composer for the hit series for more than ten years, John is part of a long list of artists with music featured on the show such as The Who, Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and John Mayer, just to name a few. John has also been nominated for an Emmy for his work on CSI in 2007.

John began his longtime career as part of the popular 70's pop duo The Keane Brothers along with his younger brother Tom. The group released four albums under 20th Century Records before becoming the youngest entertainers to ever host their own variety show, The Keane Brothers Show. John followed up his time with the group by releasing his first solo-debut album Any Other World in 1996 followed by Straight Away in 1999. Since then, John has built a remarkable career as a composer, recording artist, songwriter and studio musician, working as a session drummer for acclaimed artists such as Celine Dion, Michael Bolton, Chicago and Richard Marx, to name a few.

With Everything Changed, John embarks on a new musical journey that draws from his life experiences and a vast scoring background. Rich sweeping strings along with emotive piano arrangements accompany the thoughtful lyrics about life and love. The title track Everything Changed, which chronicles a man's poignant homecoming, best exemplifies the overarching theme of the album.

"After years of creating the dramatic underscores for CSI, it has been a lot of fun to step back into the world of songwriting. Everything Changed is a departure from anything I've done before which made it both challenging and creatively satisfying. My passion for music is stronger than ever and I hope the listeners agree," says John.

Other tracks such as the soulful Wounded Angel and the whimsical Picasso's Dog continue the theme to create powerful images in our mind's eye. John's love and appreciation of many musical genres such as Classical, R&B, Pop and Country, make Everything Changed John Keane's most ambitious project to date. The album is out on January 26, 2010 through Laycut Records.
