The Musink Tattoo Convention And Music Festival will offer two, 3-day festivals in 2010. The first one will take place February 19, 20 and 21 at the Orange County Fair & Exposition Center in Costa Mesa, CA, to be followed by a second event April 9, 10 and 11 at Fair Park in Dallas, TX. This marks the third annual outing for MUSINK at the OC Fair. Confirmed bands for the Orange County festival include The Cult, The Damned, Buzzcocks, Face to Face and The Headcat (featuring Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead and Slim Jim Phantom from Stray Cats).
Motorhead frontman and bassist Lemmy Kilmister says, "Just as long as I don't have to play on a skateboard and buy a Jack Daniels, I'm there."
This year, the festival is expanding to Dallas and the bands confirmed so far include Old 97's, Shooter Jennings, Lucero, Roger Alan Wade and many more to be announced.
Tickets are only $30.00 in Orange County and $25.00 in Dallas. The Dallas tickets will go on sale at Ticketmaster beginning this Saturday, November 14 at 9:00 AM EST.
MUSINK will showcase the top renowned tattoo artists from around the globe. Thanks to host Small Paul, over 300 tattoo artists are confirmed in Orange County including: Filip Leu & The Lue Family Iron, Jack Rudy & The World Famous G.T.C.'s Crew, Bill and Juni's Diamond Club, Clay Decker, Gold Rush, Greg James (Sunset Strip Tattoo), Hori Sho, Joshua Canton, Juan Pente, Kim Saigh, Kore Flatmo. Mark Mahoney, Mick Tattoo, Mike Brown, Mike Roper, Nikko Hurtado. Permanent Mark, Robert Atkinson, Shad, Shawn Barber and more TBA. Thanks to host Oliver Peck, over 200 tattoo artists have confirmed for Dallas including: Clay Decker, Corey Miller, Dan Dringenberg, Juan Puente, Keith Underwood, Kim Saigh, Kore Flatmo, Nikko Hurtado, Opie Ortiz, Robert Atkinson, Shawn Barber, Skully, Steve Byrne, Tim Hendricks, Tony Hundahl and many more TBA.
"The tattoo artist line-up I've assembled for MusInk 2010 is my attempt to bring together some of the most relevant and respected tattooists from around North America and the world," explains Paul Stottler (Small Paul). Both events will feature tattoo contests, seminars, fine art exhibits, professional skateboard and BMX contests, lifestyle vendors, an outdoor daytime side stage, motorcycle show and other fun activities. Pro skaters in OC include Original Z-Boy Tony Alva, Christian Hosoi, Steve Olsen, Eric Dresden and Duane Peters.
Many more stellar tattoo artists, vendors, pro skaters and bands will be announced in the coming weeks.
