Taking Back Sunday have been tapped to headline this year's Heat Music Festival. The event will take place at the University of California, Riverside on Feb. 13th. Aside from Taking Back Sunday, other acts set to appear include SickPuppies, Shiny Toy Guns, Atrak, The Crystal Method, Far East Movement, New Boyz, and Steve Aoki.
Here is what the organizers have to say about the festival: Heat is UC Riverside's preeminent, multiplex music festival featuring an eclectic lineup of internationally acclaimed musicians. It takes place in central areas of the UCR campus within a specialized site build.
The Highland Stage and the Southland Stage feature a diverse lineup of contemporary musical artists in stunning, live theatrical production. Located on the plaza of the Highlander Union, the Vantage Dance Stage is our vibrant electronic dance music experience, an open air "club" surrounding you with trance, techno, electro and house remixes produced by award winning DJs.
2010's event will be the fourth presented annually by the UCR Highlander Union. It is produced by a compact team of students and professional staff and is supported by an extensive professional array of UC Riverside departments. We also collaborate with highly accomplished music, production and event industry partners.
Tickets will be available on January 13, 2010 through Ticketmaster outlets, online through Ticketmaster.com, and at the UCR Fine Arts Ticket Office.
General admission: $42.50 in advance.
