Now that the holidays are over and we posted our final recap, we should be getting back to normal this week as your favorite rockers resume making news! Here are today's quicks:

NME had this: The Who should not perform at the NFL Super Bowl XLIV halftime show, a child welfare organisation has reportedly argued. It sounds like something out of Spinal Tap but it's very real. Lambgoat reports: Liferuiner's already tumultuous history has suffered another setback as two "versions" of the band are apparently jockeying for control over the Liferuiner brand (haha). The group has had too many line-up changes to detail, but sometime in 2008 the original Canadian incarnation of the group disbanded, and the band was soon resurrected by a contingent of U.S. members. Fast forward another year and the Canadian Liferuiner has reportedly decided to regroup.more

Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain reportedly "said there was about eight songs written so far so the band would probably need to come up with a few more new songs while recording. Said the material was a little different than past albums and they were taking their time with the recording schedule. New CD probably won't come out until 2011 however a good chance of some Maiden live shows over the summer." more

One of those appearances will find Devy playing an acoustic set! Here is the itinerary:

This isn't music related but a lot of rockers love movies too. Tony K spent New Years weekend here at antiMusic counting down his top 100 albums of the decade (linked on the frontpage if you missed it) but now he has posted his Top 100 Films of the decade list over at the Screendoor! Check it out here. We recommend this because, we found over a dozen films we missed that are now on the 'to check out' list. Also couldn't agree more on the No 1 pick (that one is music related)! -
