Ben Holder and Ricky Terry, known together as Ejector, have been electrifying audiences with their throbbing synths, soaring vocals, and edgy latex, leather, and glitter garb, for the last two years. Today, the duo announced the release of their debut album On the Pages along with two new music videos that show the pair performing in all of their theatrical and sometimes controversial glory. The official launch party for On The Pages will take place at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco on Thursday February 25 at 8pm, [note: date changed from the original date provided by their PR firm, which we published] complete with a live performance by Ejector and other guest artists.
On The Pages features 10 tracks of sonic stimulation that Ejector promises will push buttons and boundaries of electro-pop limits. According to Holder, "Each song tells its own story with influences coming from film, television, and theater and musical genres ranging from 70's disco, to 80's dance to experimental nu-rock."
The two new music videos, Baby Jane and First Sight of Red, feature tracks from the album. Baby Jane was created as part of a sound track for a new upcoming film of the same name that is a homage/parody of the original Bette Davis and Joan Crawford cult classic. It includes clips from the film interspersed with Ejector's pounding techno beats and driving vocals. First Sight of Red takes place in a smoky surreal club reminiscent of an old Berlin cabaret. The atmosphere serves as the perfect backdrop for the moody lyrics and percussive rhythms.
Ejector has quickly amassed an international audience of obsessive fans who they hope will fuel the success of their album sales and glam electro-pop live performances. Ejector says they invite everyone to "Eject what gets in your way. Toss on something fun and join the mayhem."
The digitally released version of On the Pages is available for purchase thru major etailers including Amazon and iTunes. The videos can be viewed on Ejector's MySpace page at www.myspace.com/ejector .
