Sister Hazel has announced its fifth annual Hazelnut Hang at the Windjammer in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, for June 4 – June 6, 2010. The Hazelnut Hang, which the band created as a way to interact more closely with their fans, is a weekend gathering of fans, friends, and the band members to share music, food, and fun, with plenty of time to hang out together. There will be two ticket packages available to Hang attendees, each offering fans different goodies.
All details are available beginning today at www.rockridgemusic.com/hazelnuthang, as are lists from the band about why they love hosting the Hang and photos of past gatherings. Tickets go on sale on February 18th at www.the-windjammer.com.
The band would like to encourage fans to visit Sister Hazel's iLike page (http://www.ilike.com/artist/Sister+Hazel) to dedicate the song "This Kind Of Love" for Valentine's Day to show a loved one or their big crush that they care. The song has become a wedding proposal and reception first dance staple since it came out on the album "Absolutely" in 2006. A special online contest will be running on the bowling game application, Lucky Strike Lanes, from February 5th – 11th. Fans who beat Sister Hazel band member, Drew Copeland (who scored a 211) will win Sister Hazel goodies.
