Teena Marie Died In Her Sleep

(Gibson) Teena Marie, best known for hits "Lovergirl" and "I'm a Sucker for Your Love," has been found dead at her home in Pasadena, California.

BBC News reports that her manager Mike Gardner said she died in her sleep.

Teena Marie was born Mary Christine Brockert and made her name as a white artist on the predominantly black Motown label in the '70s. more on this story
